Registering a team

This page is for the person entering a team, not the person running the tournament. If you are the organizer, see registration.

Finding the tournament

Either the organizer sent you a link, which opens the right tournament directly, or you browse Tournament registration — every tournament open for registration, across all organizers, with the deadline on each. Some say Open until further notice.

Sign in with an email code or Google. If this is your first visit, an account is created for you; there is nothing to set up beforehand.

Entering your teams

Pick your club from the list. If it is not there, Add your club creates it — and if a club with that name already exists, you are put on that one rather than creating a duplicate.

Then, for each team: a name, a strength, and a category if the tournament has them.

Strength is the field that matters. 1 is the strongest, and the organizer uses it to build groups of similar strength. An honest 4 gives your team a competitive Saturday; a hopeful 2 gives it four heavy defeats. Nobody checks, and everybody can tell by the second match.

Add as many teams as you are entering and register them together. You can add a contact email (updates go there), a phone number, notes for the organizer, and a player roster — optional, and addable later.

If there is an entry fee

The total is shown before you commit, and Register & pay opens Kling's secure checkout. Teams are confirmed automatically once the payment clears; you get a receipt by email and can view it from the same page.

If a payment is cancelled, the teams are saved — use Pay now to finish.

After a successful or cancelled checkout, the page address keeps your selected tournament. Reloading or bookmarking it returns to the same event without repeating the payment confirmation. You can also revisit through the organizer’s original link or select the event from the tournament list. For a registration paid through Kling, choose View receipt in your registrations to retrieve your receipt again. Sign in with the account that made the payment.

When everyone pays for themselves

Some tournaments charge per person rather than per team. Then you enter your team, say how many people you expect to field, pay for your own place, and get a join link.

Share that link with your team. Everyone who opens it claims their own place and pays for it, so you never have to collect anybody's email address. There is also a short code you can read out.

Your roster fills as people join, showing who has paid and who has not. Two things help when it stalls:

  • Pay for the others covers the places of whoever has not got round to it, so the team is not held up.
  • Replace this link issues a new one if the old link spread further than intended. Everyone already on the roster stays.

After you have registered

Your registrations lists what you submitted and its status — pending, approved, awaiting payment, paid. You can withdraw a team from here.

The organizer reviews each submission and approves it into a category, which is when it becomes a real team in the draw.

Entering your own results

Some organizers allow coaches to submit the score for their own team's matches — a fallback for when the assigned referee cannot update the live scoreboard. If yours does, Enter match results lists your team's matches with a score box for each.

You can only score your own matches, and only the score. Rescheduling, moving pitches and everything else stays with the organizer.
